Imitating Technology and Anatomy
I created this artificial to test out its ability to mimic human anatomy with the mechanics limits of molded plastic and DIY electronics. I am also not an engineer so I attempted to fake the electronics and mechanics. However, I created the design from the mechanism as opposed to the other way around. I find that 3D design often disregards physical design and wanted to explore using physical design as the inspiration and design language.
Modeled in Blender, rigged and animated in Cinema 4D, textured and rendered in Redshift.
